Gold Clubs in Arizona

Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA) is the world’s largest gold prospecting organization. The GPAA has over 250 properties and over 750,000 acres of mining claims available to its members, in 37 US states and several Canadian provinces, including the Northwest Territory. They have mining claims in several Arizona counties.

Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association (LDMA) is affiliated with the GPAA but have their own claims. The LDMA now has an ever growing number of private properties and claims in several western states and also in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. The LDMA owns the historic ghost town of Stanton, Arizona. They own 125 acres in and around the town with claims in the Rich Hill area.

Members have access to over 1500 acres of gold mining claims and may keep the gold that they find. Charter Member Affiliate to the New 49er’s Prospecting Club. Members can use the New 49er’s claims in Arizona, at no charge.

The Weaver Mining District is a non-profit club with yearly dues of $75 per family. They have approximately 1100 acres of mining claims in the old Weaver Mining District near Stanton, Arizona. The name is that of the original mining district from the territorial days. Day passes are available for short term guests 3 days for $10.  The group was formed in 1993.

The Mohave Prospectors Association has over 300 acres of gold bearing claims in the north western part of Arizona in Mohave County and claims span from Lake Havasu, AZ on up to Meadview, AZ. They exchange claim access with other clubs. This area has both gold and meteorites.

We are a family organization promoting recreational gold prospecting, rock hunting, camping and good fellowship.

They meet the second Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. – TBD at the Gila Valley Senior Health Annex (upstairs).

Founded in October 2000.  This is a family oriented Metal Detecting and Gold Prospecting Club located in Safford Arizona. 

Sierra Vista

Club meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Manda Le Café (3455 Canyon De Flores) Membership is FREE. Anyone interested in Prospecting for GOLD and Treasure Hunting (Metal Detecting) is welcome to attend.
