A SHARED PASSION FOR PROSPECTING
Desert Gold Diggers is a nonprofit prospecting club based in Tucson, Arizona. Our members share an interest in small-scale mining and prospecting, including gold panning, sluicing, drywashing and metal detecting.
The club gives members the opportunity to exchange information and experience while learning more about prospecting in Arizona. Members have access to club claims and regularly get together for outings where experienced prospectors can share their knowledge with those who are just getting started.
It's a chance to enjoy Arizona's outdoors, meet other prospectors and take part in a tradition that has been part of our state's history for generations.
A CLUB BUILT AROUND COMMUNITY
Desert Gold Diggers brings members together throughout the year for prospecting outings, club activities and social events. These gatherings are a great opportunity to spend time outdoors, meet fellow prospectors and share knowledge and experience.
Club activities have included outings, picnics, overnight trips, nugget raffles, steak fries and holiday gatherings, giving members plenty of opportunities to get involved beyond regular meetings.
The club also recognizes the importance of responsible prospecting and works to help protect and preserve the Arizona lands we all enjoy.
MONTHLY MEETINGS
Club meetings are a great way to meet other members, learn more about prospecting and stay up to date on club activities.
Meetings generally include a guest speaker covering prospecting, mining or other related topics, followed by club business and activities.
